Training Approach
T.M.A.'s approach is to train students in mind, body, and spirit, This is to be visualized as a tripod, where each element is as equally important. If one leg is broken and unleveled then the tripod cannot be effectively supportive. This is why the program strengthens all three through the art, sports, and self defense of the martial arts.
We train in mind, body, and in spirit. one must be willing to prepare for mental discipline by having ones will and emotions under control to do that which is right before God. Our Body will benifit by a daily routine of exercise and eating well in order to keep our body fit. (1 Cor. 3:16) These truths given to us by God's word, will cultivate in time to help you grow in Spirit. This type of training for your body will help you develop your mental discipline.
Our style is American Freestyle Martial Arts. This involves strikes, blocks, locks, & takedowns from Japanese, Korean. and Filipino arts. Added Conditioning from Kickboxing, Capoeira, and other acrobatic styles strengthen each student in power and neuromuscular conditioning. Acrobatic and coordination drills are taught for the sole purpose of giving the student bodily awareness.
